Please read these terms carefully before engaging ClearFlow Drainage for any services
"ClearFlow Drainage", "we", "us", or "our" refers to ClearFlow Drainage Ltd, a professional drainage services company operating throughout the United Kingdom.
"Customer", "you", or "your" refers to the individual, property owner, tenant, managing agent, or business entity engaging our drainage services.
"Services" refers to all drainage works including but not limited to drain unblocking, CCTV surveys, high-pressure jetting, drain repairs, relining, root removal, septic tank services, and emergency callouts.
"Engineer" refers to any ClearFlow Drainage operative, technician, or subcontractor deployed to carry out services on our behalf.
All quotations are provided on a fixed-price basis following an initial assessment of the reported drainage issue. Quoted prices include VAT at the prevailing rate unless explicitly stated otherwise.
There are no call-out charges for standard service requests. Emergency callouts outside normal working hours are subject to the same no-call-out-charge policy unless the scope of work exceeds the original assessment.
If additional work is identified during the course of a job that was not included in the original quotation, we will inform you of the additional cost and obtain your written or verbal approval before proceeding.
Quotations for planned works remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, pricing may be revised to reflect changes in material costs or access conditions.
Residential Customers: Payment is due upon completion of the work unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing prior to commencement. We accept bank transfer, debit card, and credit card.
Commercial Accounts: Approved commercial clients may be invoiced with payment terms of 30 days from the date of invoice. Late payments may incur interest at 3% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
Large Projects: For works exceeding £1,000, we may require a deposit of up to 50% before commencing, with the balance payable upon satisfactory completion.
The customer is responsible for providing safe, unobstructed access to the drainage system, including manholes, inspection chambers, and any relevant external areas. If access is restricted or unsafe, we reserve the right to postpone works until adequate access is arranged.
Our engineers will take all reasonable precautions to protect your property during the course of works. However, some drainage work inherently involves exposure to waste materials and water, and minor surface disturbance may be unavoidable in certain circumstances.
Estimated arrival times and completion durations are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Factors such as traffic conditions, preceding jobs, and the complexity of the drainage issue discovered on site may affect timings.
Where excavation is required, we will reinstate hard and soft surfaces to a reasonable standard. Full cosmetic reinstatement such as matching existing paving patterns or replanting mature vegetation is not included unless specifically quoted.
Our emergency drainage service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Emergency callouts are prioritised based on the severity of the reported issue, with sewage flooding and structural damage risks receiving the highest priority.
We aim to attend emergency callouts within 60 minutes of confirmation, though this target is subject to engineer availability and geographic location. In exceptional circumstances such as severe weather events or multiple simultaneous incidents, response times may be extended.
Emergency work is carried out to make the situation safe and restore basic drainage function. If further planned work is identified as necessary, a separate quotation will be provided for those additional works.
You may cancel a scheduled appointment free of charge provided you give us at least 24 hours notice before the agreed arrival time.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or where our engineer arrives to find no one available to provide access, may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to £75 plus VAT to cover the cost of the wasted visit.
For emergency callouts that are cancelled after an engineer has been dispatched, a reasonable charge may apply to cover mobilisation costs.
Drain clearance work is warranted for 28 days from the date of service. If the same blockage recurs within this period at the same location, we will return to re-clear the drain at no additional charge.
Structural drain repairs including relining carry a warranty of 12 months from completion, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Manufacturer warranties on relining materials may extend beyond this period and will be passed on to the customer where applicable.
The warranty does not cover:
All works are carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and all other relevant health and safety legislation.
Our engineers carry appropriate personal protective equipment and are trained in confined space entry, manual handling, and working with hazardous substances. Risk assessments and method statements are available upon request for commercial contracts.
Customers and other site occupants must follow any reasonable safety instructions issued by our engineers during the course of works. Children and pets should be kept away from active work areas.
ClearFlow Drainage operates in full compliance with environmental legislation including the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the Water Resources Act 1991, and relevant Environment Agency guidance on drainage and waste management.
All waste materials removed during the course of our work, including sewage, silt, debris, and excavated soil, are transported and disposed of at licensed waste facilities. Waste transfer notes are available upon request.
We take all reasonable measures to prevent pollution of watercourses and groundwater during drainage operations, including the use of appropriate containment and filtration measures where necessary.
Our total liability for any single claim shall not exceed the value of the contract to which the claim relates. ClearFlow Drainage shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the provision or delay of our services.
We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £5,000,000 per incident. Copies of our insurance certificates are available upon request.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
We collect and process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Information collected during service delivery is used solely for the purpose of providing and improving our drainage services.
CCTV drain survey footage is stored securely and retained for a period of 12 months unless the customer requests earlier deletion or extended retention. Footage is not shared with third parties without your consent except where required by law or for insurance claim purposes at your request.
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at enquiries@clearflowdrainage.co.uk.
